Notes:
- These are demonstration projects, not fully running software.
Real software would be much more robust than these. - They were developed for Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software for Smartphones.
They may work on previous Smartphones and Power PCs but I have not tested them. - These projects are not digitally signed.
So if you have brought a locked phone, you’ll need to get it unlocked to use these files. And if you don’t know whether your phone is locked, try installing one of these apps. If you get an error message that says the application cannot be installed because is not signed, then your phone has been locked. Based on a quick search I’d be surprised if a phone brought in NZ or Australia was locked. - I’m assuming some level of expertise.
I’ll just provide the CAB files here, I’m assuming you will know how to install them on your phone.

This is a demo application for an article I’ve written to introduce developers to developing for Smartphones, one of the fastest growing segments of the mobile phone market. By developing for Windows-based Mobile phones they can use their existing skills and tools to develop great solutions.
The application is no longer available as the web service has been shut down.
If you are really keen, I can set up a demo using the BOM weather service.
